DC

The past few days in DC have been absolutely lovely... yesterday we went to the Spy Museum which was SO COOL. We did an interactive "spy at night" tour where we got to pretend to be spies and solve mysteries and look for clues. It was awesome! We did a few Charlie's Angels poses outside the building...

...before grabbing dinner and heading back to Stephanie's to watch spy movies.

This morning we slept in and then headed down to a mall by Stephanie's work for a bit of shopping and crepes! Good times.

Also, my flikr has been updated with all the pics from the trip so far, so check it out!

4 hour walking tour = three blisters and lots of pictures

Last night was amazing and a nightmare all at once. Stephanie and Vanessa and I decided to take a three-hour walking tour of all the monuments at night. It was gorgeous but once the three hour tour turned into a four hour tour and the blisters started to set in, we were all a bit tired. I got some great pictures though:

After that we grabbed a cab to a nearby restaurant that had the best spaghetti I've eaten in a long time, and then we took the metro back to Stephanie's place where we promptly passed out. We were supposed to do the Smithsonian Air and Space museum today but we decided to sleep in. We're probably going to try to fit in a quick visit to the Library of Congress before going to a barbeque at Stephanie's work.

"Um, DCA is Reagan, not Dulles."

First day in DC! It'll be nice to get away from work for a while and have some time just to chill out and explore somewhere new! My friend Stephanie from school has an apartment here for a few weeks while she interns with a lobbyist who is currently who is currently working on healthcare reform, so our friend Nessa and I decided to come visit her for a week!

I got in this afternoon and met Stephanie on the metro, where we proceeded to Dulles airport to pick up Nessa... only one problem, Nessa was flying into Reagan. We managed to get there just in time to meet her and get back on the train to head back to Stephanie's neighborhood. A quick dinner (pasta and a brownie sundae, yum!) and a bit of walking later, we were all settled in for the night.

We've got big plans for tomorrow, so we'll see how it all goes!
